SHOKRYAH MOHAMAMDI
Chair
Shokryah is working in Vodafone Group Plc as a Business Analyst. She has graduated from King's College London University in Computer Science. She is part of Afghan Youth Association because she believes it is a platform for youngsters like herself to break boundaries and come together to make changes we want to see in our society. It is an opportunity to give back to the community and empower young professionals to respect and learn from each other regardless of race, gender and religion.
MAZARI BAHADURI
Secretary
Mazari is a second year student at University of Bath studying Computer Systems Engineering, and as a young adult he would like to take part in bringing achievements and many opportunities for the youth. To provide a platform for those who need support and to work together will be key in achieving our objective of driving social mobility within Afghan communities in the UK. As an individual, he has a social responsibility to ensure that our society is benefited as much as possible.
ZAHRA ALIZADA

Zahra is currently studying pharmaceutical and cosmetic science at De Montfort University. She believes AYA is a great platform for our youth to  get together and by exchanging ideas bring changes within our community.  Afghan Youth Association is also an opportunity for everyone to meet and connect with proficient association.
PARVIZ BAHADURI
Treasurer
Parviz is a third year Mathematics student at Durham University. He is very excited to be a part of Afghan Youth Association as he believes it is a great platform for the young students and professionals within our community to be at the forefront of the change we want to see in our society. It provides an opportunity for the next generation to use their knowledge and skills to build upon and lead both the Afghan and wider community forward.
ZAHRA ZAHIDI
Design Officer
Zahra recently graduated from Aston University obtaining a degree in Optometry. She enjoys being active and have a green belt in Taek-Wan-Do. She is also very fond of creative work such as painting, designing and anything that is practical. She joined AYA because she believes this platform can really benefit the youth in the UK in terms of networking and support but also a way to send aid and support to the people in Afghanistan. She is looking forward to working towards helping make this organisation flourish!
MARAEI ABED
Event Coordinator
I am a BA English graduate from SOAS, University of London. I am due to start my GDL (Law Conversion) this September. I have a passion for coding and art outside of work and academics. I am very excited to be a part of the team here at AYA, as it is a great platform for both the Afghan diaspora and the youth in Afghanistan. Having had previous experience in event planning and with the Afghan community, I am confident that we will share and celebrate ideas in the community and develop a strong network for Afghans in the UK
FASIH MOHMAND
Treasurer Assistant
Fasih is a professional accountant with over 4 years’ of experience working in the private for profit and charity organisations in the field of audit, tax and accountancy.
He is passionate about access to education, youth empowerment and transforming the lives of the community members via empowerment and enjoys the challenge where he can make a difference. Fasih joined us in July 2020 as an Assistant Treasurer and ensures effective operations, controls, financial management, fundraising and governance of the charity.
